Smaller production areas include Shiding District, Shenkeng District, Pingxi District, Xizhi District, Xindian District, Sanxia District, Nangang District, Taipei City, and Mucha.

The primary production area of Wenshan Baozhong Tea is Pinglin, where tea plantations are situated on hillsides at an altitude of 2000 to 2500 feet. With abundant rainfall, heavy fog, and a picturesque landscape, Pinglin experiences distinct seasons and alternating temperatures, creating an ideal environment for tea cultivation.

Known as the ‘Fog-nurtured Aroma,’ these conditions are believed to impart a unique fragrance to the tea. Located about an hour’s drive from Taipei City, Pinglin is one of Taiwan’s earliest tea regions. How to Brew Wenshan Baozhong Tea?

Wenshan Baozhong tea should not be brewed with boiling water. A water temperature of around 90°C is recommended to bring out more nuance and depth of flavour. Ideally, start with 95°C water for 30 seconds and gradually increase the re-soak time. Even at lower temperatures, Wenshan Baozhong tea does not experience astringency or bitterness.
